Kevin Maloney is the director of communications at Carnegie Council. In this role, he is responsible for the planning and execution of the Council’s community engagement, content development, and public programming strategies across key issue areas, including peace and security, emerging technology, and applied ethics. He is also the host of the Values & Interests podcast, which examines ethical tensions and tradeoffs at the heart of decision-making in geopolitics, tech, and business.
Prior to Carnegie Council, Maloney spent a decade working at communications consultancies where he advised clients in the public policy, professional services, and nonprofit spaces. He received a BA in political science from Fordham University and an MA with distinction in global security from King's College London, where his dissertation assessed the use of moral language and values-based narratives in U.S. foreign policy. He also serves as an international advisory board member for the HumAIne Foundation.
