Joyce S. Dubensky

Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding

Joyce Dubensky is the CEO of Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding, a secular, non-sectarian non-profit that works to dismantle religious violence and hatred.

Dubensky has led Tanenbaum and expanded its work globally for nearly 15 years. She has presented at the United Nations, the Harvard Divinity School, United States Institute of Peace, University of San Diego’s Kroc School, the Interfaith Kosovo 2nd Annual Conference, the Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights and Religious Freedom, Woodrow Wilson Center, among many others.

As an attorney, Dubensky presiously served as a national consultant for the Council of Jewish Federations (now Jewish Federations of North America). She also created the legal department at the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York and served as its general counsel for over 10 years.

Dubensky began her legal career with the law firm of Botein Hays Sklar and Herzberg.
