Carnegie Council’s Journal Ethics & International Affairs moves to Blackwell and becomes a quarterly publication

The Carnegie Council is pleased to announce that as of 2006, Blackwell Publishing, the world’s leading publisher of academic professional texts, will publish the journal Ethics & International Affairs on its behalf. The journal will increase in frequency from three times a year to four.

“Since its first issue in 1987, Ethics & International Affairs has been essential reading for scholars, students, policy analysts, journalists, and NGO practitioners,” said Council President Joel Rosenthal. “These changes will result in an even higher profile for the Carnegie Council journal and its distinguished contributors.”

The journal publishes original essays that integrate rigorous thinking about principles of justice and morality into discussions of practical dilemmas in international affairs.

Recent issues of Ethics & International Affairs feature full-length articles on international monetary arrangements; immigration restrictions; the preventive use of force; global health; and climate change. They also contain symposia, roundtables, review essays, and short reviews of recent books.

The next issue, to appear in February 2006, will include an article on the International Criminal Court and a special section, “Justice after War,” focusing on Iraq.

On the Blackwell website, Ethics & International Affairs readers will be able to subscribe to the journal, access current and archival issue information, and sign up for a free alerting service that will let them know when the latest issue of EIA is online. Go to www.blackwellpublishing.com/eia
