Bio
Subir Sinha is lecturer in development studies and chair of the Centre for South Asian Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has written on the problems to social theory posed by environmental issues, on the history of Indian development, on contemporary social movements, on neoliberalism and civil society, and on trans-national development regimes. He is currently working on a monograph about the local struggle for resource rights in India, titled, "Uncommon Grounds: Rules, Resistance and Rights to Resources in India."
