Sabrina Axster is a doctoral student at the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University, Newark. She holds an MSc in international development studies from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a BA in media and cultural studies and politics from the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK.
Since September 2011 Axster has been serving as research consultant at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs where she supports intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda. Prior to this, she conducted academic field research on micro-level development initiatives in Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests are in global political theory, global governance, and migration.
