Robert Bank is president and CEO of American Jewish World Service (AJWS).
Previously, Bank, a human rights attorney, served in New York’s municipal government and the leadership at Gay Men's Health Crisis. He joined AJWS in 2008 as executive vice president.
A native of South Africa, Bank has received the Wasserstein Public Interest Fellowship from Harvard Law School. He is an advisor to The Conversation: Jewish in America, and he is on the board of Leading Edge: Alliance for Excellence in Jewish Leadership.
