Julie Murray is a programming & outreach intern at Carnegie Council. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in politics at Sewanee: The University of the South, with a minor in international and global studies, concentrating on the Middle East.
Prior to joining Carnegie Council, Murray served as the Summer 2025 communications and program coordinator for the South Cumberland Plateau AmeriCorps program through Sewanee’s Office of Civic Engagement, supporting community outreach, coordinating service initiatives, and managing strategic communications across the program.
