
Estuardo Cifuentes is program manager for Project Corazón, a program under the auspices of Lawyers for Good Government that aims to safeguard rights of migrants in the face of inhumane U.S. immigration policies. As an asylum seeker who spent over eighteen months in Mexico under MPP and founded a program to support LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, Cifuentes continues to leverage his lived expertise to assist vulnerable individuals and educate attorneys, community members, and other stakeholders on asylum-related issues in Mexico and the U.S.
Prior to his work with asylum seekers, Cifuentes and his husband ran a marketing business in Guatemala for several years. He has been featured in various media including The New York Times, National Geographic, El Pais, Univision, and Telemundo.
