Foreign Policy RoundtablesThe Carnegie Council's Foreign Policy Roundtable series meets approximately once a month (eight times per program year) to scrutinize recently published works or works in progress. Under the direction of Senior Fellow Nicholas X. Rizopoulos, the roundtables are attended by a mix of academics, policy experts, and journalists, all of whom appreciate the opportunity to gather in a setting that encourages deep discussion.

Recent presenters included Thomas Nichols on the new age of preventive war, Mark Danner on "the forever war" and Daniel Yergin on ensuring energy security.  Though the roundtables are by invitation only, they often generate ideas that influence the direction of the Council's research agenda.

Funding for the foreign policy roundtable series is provided by the Smith Richardson Foundation. For more information, contact Ulrike Klopfer by email or at 212/838-4120.
