Bio

Robert G. James is a director of Enterprise Asset Management, Inc. James is involved in a wide range of U.S. and foreign investments including oil and gas exploration, regional shopping malls and New York City office buildings as well as equity positions in various ventures and investment funds.

Prior to his association with Enterprise, James was a vice president of Mobil Oil Corporation with responsibility for North American logistics including crude oil purchases and sales, refinery scheduling, and coordinating American marine, pipeline and other transportation.

He was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations Discussion Group on NATO defense strategy in 1977-78 and served as assistant to the deputy ambassador to Vietnam in 1967.

Other positions included president of Mobil Marine Transportation Company, economist for the Continental Oil Company, CIA branch chief dealing with Communist Bloc trade, finance, and machinery industry, and Assistant Professor, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

James is currently involved with the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. He is on the Boards of Directors of Citizens Exchange Council and the Center for Defense Information, and he is a member of the Middle East Advisory Committee of Human Rights Watch. James retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve as a Rear Admiral.
