John Lewis Gaddis

John Lewis Gaddis

John Lewis Gaddis is the Robert A. Lovett Professor of History at Yale University.

He is a noted historian of the Cold War and grand strategy, who has been hailed as the "Dean of Cold War Historians" by The New York Times.

Gaddis has published numerous books, including George F. Kennan: An American Life (2011); The Cold War: A New History (2005); and Surprise, Security, and the American Experience (2004).
