Climate Change: The Hardest Moral Challenge?

It is natural to take the well-known tragedy of the commons as a model for the problem of mitigating climate change by reducing global emissions of carbon dioxide, but there are significant disanalogies. Göteborg University's Ingmar Persson reviews these issues and also highlights the general features of our moral psychology which makes alleviating climate change so difficult.
