Former assistant secretary of defense Joseph Nye, Jr., explains that he prefers to refer to the "post-Cold War era" as the "information age." With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the key questions are: how is power distributed in the information age, and what are the limits to American interests? In this lecture, Nye provides several reasons why the information age is likely to enhance rather than diminish American power.
