The Rev. Bill Lowrey is the former director of peacebuilding and reconciliation for World Vision International and an American affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and the New Sudan Council of Churches.

For over a decade, during the civil war, Lowrey worked at the local level in South Sudan to reconcile opposing tribes. He facilitated the People-to-People Peace Process among the Nuer and Dinka peoples, which culminated in the signing of the Loki Accord.

In addition, Lowrey led World Vision's effort to define, form, facilitate, and coach technical "communities of practice" for all of the NGO’s technical sectors. Now retired from World Vision, Lowrey coaches peacebuilders around the world, including fellow members of Tanenbaum's Peacemakers in Action Network, on resilience amid conflict.
