Thong Nguyen

Carnegie Council Fellow, Future Worlds Project (Non-Resident)

Thong Nguyen is Carnegie Council fellow, Future Worlds Project.

Nguyen is also data lab program administrator at the International Peace Institute, having previously worked there as editorial assistant. In addition, he is the author of Of All Possible Future Worlds: Global Trends, Values, and Ethics. Nguyen formerly worked at Ethics & International Affairs, Carnegie Council's academic journal.

Nguyen has also worked as a consultant with the U.S. Department of State and served on the economics and science affairs desk at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. He has been a program assistant at Columbia University, an English teacher in Japan, and a laboratory technician at Shell Westhollow Technology Center. Nguyen is the co-founder and co-programmer of bld3r.com, a 3D-printing community.

Nguyen holds an MA from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs as well as a BA in philosophy and government from the University of Texas at Austin.
