Roger T. Ames is professor of philosophy and director of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Hawaii. He is editor of the journal Philosophy East & West.

His publications include: Daedjing: Making this Life Significant: A Philosophical Translation (with David I. Hall, 2003) and Focusing the Familiar: A Translation and Philosophical Interpretation of the Zhongyong (with David I. Hall, 2001)
