Robert Kirby is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Philosophy and the Centre for Moral, Social, and Political Theory at the Australian National University.
Kirby's interests are broadly in moral and political philosophy, with particular attention to global justice. His Ph.D. research is on the normative significance of innocently benefiting from injustice, focusing on whether beneficiaries have moral reason to take on cost to address harm suffered by victims of injustice, how to conceptualize, identify, and measure benefiting, and the practical application of beneficiary-based grounds of responsibility to international affairs.
