Louise Arbour is former president and CEO of International Crisis Group. She served as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 2004 to 2008.

In 1999, she was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada. In 1996, she was appointed by the Security Council of the United Nations as chief prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and for Rwanda. Arbour has received numerous medals and awards, as well as honorary doctorates from some 30 universities, and is a member of many distinguished professional societies and organizations. She is also an advisor to the Belinda Stronach Foundation.
