Bio

Kristian Lum is an assistant research professor in the Computer and Information Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work focuses on algorithmic (un)fairness, with applications primarily in criminal justice; statistical methods for conflict casualty estimation; and, recently, modeling the spread of infectious disease with particular emphasis on vulnerable populations, such as incarcerated populations.
