Julia Scanlan was director for philanthropic partnerships and strategy at Carnegie Council.
Scanlan came to Carnegie Council with more than 15 years of social impact and philanthropy experience in diverse settings, including serving as the inaugural director for strategy and operations at the University of Washington's Center for an Informed Public. Previously, she served as senior director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Washington/Alaska chapter and worked in philanthropy at Stanford University and Stanford Law School.
Julia received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA from the University of California, San Diego (cum laude), where she double majored in history and religion and studied abroad in Cairo, Egypt.
