Jonathan D. Caverley

Jonathan D. Caverley is associate professor of strategy in the Strategic & Operational Research Department of the U.S. Naval War College's Center for Naval Warfare Studies and a research scientist in political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Previously, Caverley was assistant professor of political science at Northwestern University and he has spent two academic terms as a residential fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC. He also served for eight years as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy and as an assistant professor of naval science at Northwestern University.
Caverley is the author of Democratic Militarism: Voting, Wealth, and War.
