Grigory Yavlinsky is a Russian economist and politician of Ukrainian origin. Since 2008, Yavlinsky has been a member of the Russian United Democratic Party (YABLOKO). In 1993–2008 he was chairman of the Yabloko party.
He is best known as the author of the 500 Days Program, a plan for the transition of the USSR to a free-market economy, and for his leadership of the liberal Yabloko party.
