Brigadier General Donald Bolduc was commander of Special Operations Command-Africa in the U.S. Army, among many other positions.
Bolduc previously served as deputy director for operations, United States Africa Command. He also has served as commander for Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command, Afghanistan; Combined Joint Special Operation Task Force - Afghanistan; and other posts in Afghanistan. Bolduc has also served as assistant deputy director for special operations, J - 37, Joint Staff, Pentagon; deputy acquisition officer, United States Army Special Operations; aide-de -camp, Secretary of the Army; among many other roles.
Bolduc's combat eperience includes six deployments to Afghanistan between 2001 and 2013, two deployments to Kuwait in 2002 and 1995, and one deployment to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Bolduc's awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, and Purple Heart.
