Brendan Nyhan

Dartmouth College; The New York Times; Bright Line Watch

Brendan Nyhan is professor of government at Dartmouth College, a contributor to the Upshot blog at The New York Times, and co-founder of Bright Line Watch.

Previously, Nyhan was RWJ Scholar in Health Policy Research at the University of Michigan from 2009 to 2011, and media critic for Columbia Journalism Review from 2011 to 2014. He has also served as editor of Salon's Spinsanity, marketing and fundraising consultant for Silicon Valley technology non-profit Benetech, and deputy communications director of the Bernstein for U.S. Senate campaign in Nevada.

Nyhan is the co-author of All the President's Spin and his research has been published in American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, and other academic journals.
