Antony Jenkins is executive chairman at 10x Banking. Jenkins previously was a group chief executive of Barclays PLC.
A native of the UK, Jenkins first joined Barclays in 1983 and worked in retail and corporate banking. In 1989, he moved to Citigroup, where he headed the corporation's branded credit card business.
Jenkins returned to Barclays in 2006 as chief executive of Barclaycard. In November, 2009, he became named chief executive of Barclays retail and business banking and in August, 2012, he was appointed group chief executive. In addition, Jenkins is chairman of the group executive committee.
Jenkins has been a member of the board of directors of the Institute of International Finance since February 2013. Between February 2009 and February 2013, he represented Barclays as a non-executive director on the Board of Absa, the Group’s South African banking subsidiary, and he was also on the board of Visa Europe Ltd between October 2008 and December 2011.
