Michael Wesley

Michael Wesley is Director of the Griffith Asia Institute at Griffith University, Queensland. Formerly, he was Senior Lecturer in Political Science at the University of New South Wales and Assistant Director-General, Transnational Issues Branch, Office of National Assessments for the Australian government.

Wesley has published widely on the subjects of Asia-Pacific politics and security and Australian foreign policy. His books include Making Australian Foreign Policy (2003), coauthored with Allen Gyngell, and Casualties of the New World Order: The Causes of Failure of UN Missions to Civil Wars (1997).
