James H. Billington

James H. Billington, Librarian of Congress, is the 13th incumbent in that position since the Library was established in 1800. An author and historian, as well as an educator and administrator, he was director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars from 1973 until moving to the Library of Congress in 1987.
