Abigail Abrash Walton

Abigail Abrash Walton has researched, since 1995, the nexus of resource extraction with human rights concerns in Papua. She served as coordinator for a 1999 joint Indonesian-international team conducting an independent human rights assessment of conditions in the Freeport mining area. Walton is the author of "Developing Aggression: Observations in Human Rights Conditions in the PT Freeport Indonesia Contract of Work Areas With Recommendations," published by the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights. She teaches at the Antioch New England Graduate School and directs Action Works, a consulting firm.
