Bio

Seán Morrow is chief research specialist in the Democracy and Governance Programme, Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), Pretoria, South Africa.

He has worked at universities in Ireland, Zamibia, Malawi, Lesotho, and South Africa and has researched and published articles on the educational, religious, cultural and liberation history of the southern African region.

His recent work appears in Journal of Southern African Studies, Kronos, War and Society and in several edited volumes. He recently co-authored Education in Exile: SOMAFCO, the ANC School in Tanzania, 1978 to 1992 and also wrote the section on the CRL Commission in a recent report by the HSRC to the South African President on Overcoming the Legacy of Discrimination in South Africa.
