Bio

Sarah Elwood is an economic research assistant at EcoHealth Alliance, an international organization of scientists dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity. She investigates the economic costs associated with disease emergence.

Elwood previously spent over two years in Uganda, teaching mathematics at a local school and working at a health and education organization.

She has a Master's of Public Health in epidemiology from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, where she was a recipient of the Sidney Kark Award in Epidemiology.
