Bio

Emil Chireno is a lawyer and graduate student of international relations at the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy, with a concentration in foreign policy analysis and international economics.

In 2008, Chireno interned at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, working with cases of human rights violations from Argentina and Peru. That same year he became the international projects manager for the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic. In August 2009 Chireno organized, with the support of various UN programs and agencies in Haiti and the Clinton Global Initiative University, the Youth of the Americas Forum for Haiti (YAFH) and its subsequent Community Service Week (CSW). After the successful conclusion of the YAFH in Haiti, Chireno was selected as Latin American and Caribbean regional co-facilitator for the 6th UNESCO World Youth Forum in Paris.
