Anthony L. Faillace

Drake Management; Chair, Carnegie Council

Anthony Faillace is the owner of Drake Management LLC, a multi-strategy investment firm focused on both liquid market trading as well as venture, early stage, and micro-cap equity investments. Drake’s largest vehicle is Drake Private Investments LLC, a proprietary trading fund, which utilizes traditional macro-style strategies in the world's stock, bond, and currency markets. Additionally, Drake oversees other non-exchange traded, less liquid investments which are typically seed and early round financings sourced from its network of venture contacts.

Drake was co-founded by Faillace in May 2001. As its chief investment officer since inception, he headed the firm's multi-strategy portfolio team which, at its peak, managed more than $7 billion of hedge fund assets and $6 billion of traditional fixed income institutional accounts. During this part of Drake's development, Faillace was a senior member of the firm's management committee which oversaw more than 125 employees and offices in New York, Asia, South America, and Europe.

Prior to founding Drake, Faillace was a managing director and senior portfolio manager at BlackRock, Inc., in New York. Additionally, he worked five years at PIMCO, where he was a key member of the international fixed income team. He holds an MBA from the JL Kellogg School at Northwestern University, a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with high honors, and studied international economics at Sciences Po in Paris.
