Raja Chatila

Raja Chatila is professor emeritus of artificial intelligence, robotics, and IT ethics at Sorbonne University in Paris.

Chatila is a former director of the SMART Laboratory of Excellence on Human-Machine Interactions and of the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics. He contributes in several areas of artificial intelligence and autonomous and interactive robotics and is author of about 170 publications. Chatila is an IEEE Fellow and recipient of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Pioneer Award.

Chatila is chair of the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems, co-chair of the responsible AI working group of the Global Partnership in AI, and co-chair of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on AI for Humanity.
