Mohammad Javad Ardashir Larijani

Iranian Politician

Mohammad Javad Ardashir Larijani is an Iranian conservative politician, mathematical logician, and former diplomat. Currently he is a senior advisor to the head of the Judiciary and secretary general of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Additionally, Dr. Larijani has been the director of the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics in Tehran.

Previously, he has been a Majlis representative (member of Parliament), the director of Majlis Research Center, and a vice minister of foreign affairs.

Larijani received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, and then earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Stanford University.
