Imtiaz T. Ladak is former vice chairman of the Aga Khan Foundation, USA National Committee, and managing director and chief financial officer of Projects International in Washington, DC. The Aga Khan Foundation, USA, a private, non-profit organization that is part of an international philanthropic and development network, active in development initiatives in Africa, South Asia, and the Central Asian Republics.

At Projects International, Ladak works with a broad cross-section of the firm’s clients in all regions of the world, with a particular emphasis on the Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining Projects International, Ladak was a senior attorney in the international law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP, where he focused on international trade and investment matters. Ladak’s clients over the years have included some of the world's leading telecommunications, financial services, electronics, aerospace, agribusiness, computer, and media companies, with whom he has worked to develop and conclude commercial objectives in countries in Asia, the South Pacific, the Middle East, Central and Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, the former Soviet Union, Central and Eastern Europe, and the European Union. A native of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, Ladak has lived for extended periods of his life in Africa and Europe.
