Bernardito C. Auza

Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations

His Excellency, The Most Reverend Bernardito C. Auza is permanent observer of the Holy See to the United Nations and to the Organization of American States. He is also Titular Archbishop of Suacia and Apostolic Nuncio of Haiti.

A native of the Philippines, Auza served at the Apostolic Nunciature in Madagascar, Bulgaria, and Albania. He then served in the Secretariat of State in the Vatican. Auza was appointed permanent observer of the Holy See to the United Nations and to the Organization of American States in July, 2014.

In addition, Auza was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Haiti in May, 2008 and was ordained Titular Archbishop of Suacia in July, 2008.
