Russian Soft Power in France (2017-2018)

Led by Carnegie Council Senior Fellow Marlene Laruelle, this project explores Russian influence in French political parties and civil society institutions, seeking to shed light on Russia's soft power strategies to bolster allied political parties in established European democracies.

The project will result in the publication of three thoroughly researched papers—each accompanied by a meeting in Paris exploring the topic. On June 13 2018, the three researchers will present their findings at a recorded public event hosted at Carnegie Council headquarters in New York City.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Foundation Open Society Institute in cooperation with the OSIFE of the Open Society Foundations.
