Bio

Jane A. Margold is an anthropologist and activist who has written extensively about violence against women in the context of factory work in the Philippines and transnational labor migration. As a member of GABRIELA Network and a founding member of the Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition, her research and advocacy now focus upon forms of coerced migration, such as the trafficking of women to the United States for sexual and labor exploitation.
