Bio

Rajeev Gowda is professor of Economic and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, India. He is also the chairperson of the Centre of Public Policy, and director of the General Insurance Corporation of India. His research includes the study of environmental and public policy, risk analysis, and risk management.

Gowda previously served as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California Berkeley and associate professor at the University of Oklahoma. His publications include Judgments, Decisions, and Public Policy: Behavioral Decision Theory Perspectives and Applications and Integrating Insurance and Risk Management for Hazardous Wastes. He received his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
