Michael L. Ross is professor of political science at UCLA and director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies.
Ross has published on political and economic problems of resource-rich countries, civil war, democratization, and gender rights. His work has appeared in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Harper's, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, and other publications.
He currently serves on the advisory boards of of the Revenue Watch Institute, the Natural Resource Center, and Clean Trade.
