Col. Tom Davis (ret.) is the former vice president for Strategy, General Dynamics Corporation.Prior to joining General Dynamics, Davis was senior defense analyst and homeland security coordinator at Northrop Grumman Corporation. He has also served as an advisor to senior Army leaders on force structure, manpower and modernization issues.

Beginning in 1985, he was a program analyst in the Army Programs Analysis and Evaluation Directorate, served as military assistant to the Secretary of the Army, and was later the chief of the Non-Strategic Nuclear Forces Branch on the Joint Staff.

In Operations Desert Shield and Storm, he commanded an artillery battalion in the 3rd Armored Division. As a U.S. Military Academy assistant professor in the early 1980s, he taught courses on government, international relations, economics, and Middle Eastern politics
