Bio

Daniella Leifer is manager of training and compliance programs at CUNY Building Performance Lab.

Previously, Leifer was a student in the MBA program at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College with a background in environmental studies from Cornell University. Her first venture into green business began with a student project to collect and resell discarded clothing and other items from college students leaving for summer vacation.

She was also a contributing writer on sustainability-related issues for the Graduate Voice magazine at Baruch. While still a student, she was involved with the CUNY Building Performance Lab (part of the CUNY Institute for Urban Systems) as an energy efficiency program intern, working on behalf of Sustainable South Bronx where she drafted a business plan submission for the William James Foundation Social Entrepreneurship Competition and earned Honorable Mention on behalf of the organization.
