This monthly series features speakers from very different backgrounds, countries, and professions. What they have in common is strongly-held moral convictions, and a passionate commitment to their work, which makes for memorable conversations.
Programs begin with an interview that delves into the guest's life and work, followed by a general discussion with the studio audience. All events are broadcast as part of Carnegie Council’s Global Ethics Forum TV series, and full transcripts, audios and videos are also available.
Ethics Matter is hosted by author and journalist James Traub. He writes a column for Foreign Policy's website entitled "Terms of Engagement" and writes, as well, for Foreign Policy magazine. Traub has worked as a staff writer for The New Yorker and a contributing writer to The New York Times Magazine, reporting widely from Africa and the Middle East. He is the author of five books, and is currently writing a biography of John Quincy Adams.
