Tara Melish

Tara J. Melish is a human rights attorney and legal specialist in the area of economic, social and cultural rights.

She serves as legal advisor to the Center for Justice and International Law, U.N. representative to Mental Disability Rights International, and consultant to a number of organizations wishing to use international procedures for the advancement of human rights. She teaches human rights training courses in many countries, gives frequent lectures on social rights issues in academic and advocacy forums. Melish has written two books, several book chapters, and several journal articles on economic, social and cultural rights.
