Sudhir Chella Rajan

Sudhir Chella Rajan is professor of humanities and social sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He was previously senior fellow at the Tellus Institute, Boston, where he led the Global Politics and Institutions Program.

Chella Rajan interests are in the broad areas of environment and political theory, particularly in the context of climate change and national energy and transport policy. He is the author of The Enigma of Automobility: Democratic Politics and Pollution Control (1996) and a co-author (with Mayer Hillman and Tina Fawcett) of The Suicidal Planet: How to Prevent Global Climate Catastrophe
