Song Guojun is professor of environmental economics at the School of Environment and Natural Resources at Renmin University of China (RUC). He holds a Ph.D in environmental economics and a MS in environmental planning. Song Guojun’ s research and teaching focus on environmental policy analysis, environmental planning, environmental policy evaluation, environmental impact assessment, sustainable development, environmental management etc.

Before becoming a teacher, he worked for the Local Environmental Protection Bureau in Benxi Liaoning Province for nine years, where he carried out many national research projects. He has consulted for the World Bank, ADB, the Asian Development Bank, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
