Robert Hunter Wade

Robert Hunter Wade is professor of political economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

He is the author of Governing the Market: Economic Theory and the Role of Government in East Asia’s Industrialization (2003 [1990]) and Village Republics: Economic Conditions of Collective Action in South India (1994 [1988]). He has worked as an economist at the World Bank and at the Office of Technology Assessment.
