Richard Lappin

Richard Lappin

Richard Lappin is a Ph.D. candidate at the Centre for Peace Research and Strategic Studies at the University of Leuven in Belgium. He researches issues associated with the delivery of democracy assistance to post-conflict countries.

Lappin has participated in over a dozen democracy assistance missions with the UN, EU, OSCE and Carter Center. He has recently completed assignments in Sierra Leone, Lebanon and Romania.

Lappin has published several articles, including a recent chapter in Peace, Conflict and Identity. He holds an MA in Conflict and Peace Studies from the University of Leuven and a BA in Politics and English Literature from Loughborough University.
