Bio

Lydia Alpízar is a feminist human rights activist. She is one of the founders of Elige Youth Network for Reproductive and Sexual Rights and of the Latin American and Caribbean Youth Network for Reproductive and Sexual Rights. In addition to her involvement in the campaign “Stop Impunity: No More Murders of Women,” she is also working with a newly established organization called Artemisa Interdisciplinary Group on Gender, Sexuality and Human Rights.

Most recently, Lydia was executive director at the Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID).
