Dinah Shelton

Professor Emeritus at George Washington University Law School

Dinah Shelton is the Patricia Roberts Harris Professor of Law Emeritus at George Washington University Law School, where she taught international law.

She has been a consultant on human rights to the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and the European community.

Shelton serves on the board of several nongovernmental organizations concerned with human rights, including the rights of indigenous peoples, and is the editor of the Encyclopedia of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity (2004).
